Road renewal

FDR & FDR+

1.

what is
FDR?

FDR is short for "full-depth reclamation" and it is an engineered rehabilitation technique which involves pulverizing the existing road surface & a portion of the underlying materials (base, sub-base, and/or subgrade) to use as the building blocks for a strong new foundation.

It is a viable solution for repairing roads that have deteriorated, as well as increasing the scructural integrity of a road in otherwise good condition.
2.

What is
FDR+ ?

FDR+ starts with regular full-depth reclamation, and then builds on top of it by adding our Hercbase slurry as a soil stabilizer.

This means you end up with a dustless, engineered slurry providing a moisture-resistant foundational layer which increases payload capacity via improved load distribution.
3.

what are the benefits?

By using up to 100% of the existing materials, FDR eliminates an estimated 90% of hauling. This means you save on time, labour, and materials, which all contribute to the cost of a non-FDR project. Due to these combined factors there are often significant cost savings.

It also provides a longer term solution, meaning you can move past short-term fixes by addressing the root issues of road failure via soil stabilization, moisture resistance, and increased load-bearing strength.

got questions?

Eliminate
Excavation

Hauling the old materials out & the new materials in = a massive drain on manpower and resources, which can be avoided entirely with FDR & FDR+.

solve the
root problem

Strengthen and stabilize to solve the root issues behind the constant cycle of surface-level short-term repairs.

compromise-free
savings

Using less labour and utilizing less materials means you can genuinely save money without sacrificing quality.
